To make a perfect wax seal, you'll need the following materials:
- Wax seal stamp
- Sealing wax beads
- Heat source (such as a candle with a furnace)
- Spoon
- envelope or silicon matt to seal
Here are the steps to make a perfect wax seal:
1. Choose the right wax
You can use traditional wax or modern sealing wax that comes in a variety of colors and finishes. The wax should be flexible but not too soft, and not brittle or crumbly.
2. Prepare the stamp
Make sure your stamp is clean and dry. You can use a dry cloth to wipe off any residue or dust.
3. Melt the wax
Light the heat source and put 2-3 sealing wax beads in the spoon, you can use a stirring stick if needed
4. Press the stamp
Once the wax is melted onto the envelope or silicon matt, wait a few seconds for it to cool slightly, but not completely harden. Then, firmly press the stamp into the wax for about 5-10 seconds. Make sure to apply even pressure and hold the stamp steady to avoid smudging.
5. Remove the stamp
After a few seconds, gently lift the stamp straight up and away from the wax. The seal should be crisp and clear.
6. Decorate (optional)
If you want to highlight the engraving, add touches of glittered/matt marker.
7. Repeat
If you're making multiple seals, repeat steps 3-7 until you're done.
With these steps, you should be able to create a perfect wax seal every time. Remember to practice and experiment with different waxes and stamps to find what works best for you.

- Why use a silicon mat for wax seal stamping
1Protection: A silicone mat provides a protective layer between the wax and the surface on which you are stamping. This helps prevent any damage to the surface, especially if it's a delicate or valuable material like parchment paper or antique documents.
2 Cleanliness: Wax seal stamping can be messy, and using a silicone mat makes it easy to clean up any wax spills or drips. The silicone surface is non-stick, so any wax that drips onto it can be easily peeled off once it has cooled.
3 Stability: A silicone mat provides a stable surface for stamping. This helps ensure that the stamp is pressed evenly into the wax, which creates a clean and crisp impression.
4 Tear-free : With the silicon mat being non-stick, you can easily create mess free perfect round wax seals and later on stick it to any surface (envelope, gift wrap, bows, tags etc) without any tearing of the paper!
